The first game belongs to Vogelsong. He got Stanton to pop up with the bases loaded and two outs in the fifth inning that changed the direction of the game eventually won by the Giants 14-7.  Lincecum who did not have  his fast ball or control lost the second game of the series on Friday. The game marked the return of second baseman Theriot hitting .179 to the starting lineup because as Bruce Bochy put it,"we need his bat".  Talk about the unexpected -The Giants remained 6 1/2 games behind the Dodgers because the Astros beat Kershaw and the Dodgers. Cabrera and  Posey went hit less leaving four runners on base as the Giants lost game three of the series. Cabrera raised his season average to .369 getting four hits and scoring all three Giant runs in their 3-2 victory Sunday giving the "g" men a series split.
